This has all the earmarks of a Robards story: Withoutabox Submit to Film Festivals. I would have loved more along this line. This started out great but lost steam in the middle.
I also wrote a complaint about the incorrect facts in the book to Ms. Sid was the new killer, and Vince was the old killer, who also tied in with Joe’s past. As an attraction grows between Nicky and enigmatic police chief, Joe Franconi, another identical murder occurs.

Fans of Tami Hoag, Iris Johansen and Kay Hooper will love Superstitiona fascinating romantic police procedural with supernatural elements that add an extra dimension to the story line. This is another winner from the popular and prolific Robards, who delivers a great romantic thriller filled with interesting characters in a classic edge-of-the-seat read. With no legal ground to stand on, Joe fails to stop the filming, but he’s conveniently on hand to rescue Nicky when she stumbles on a fresh murder victim and nearly becomes one herself.
For all of her claims to be an investigative reporter, Nicky clearly didn’t understand the danger in revealing that kind of robardx.

I don’t think that was handled well at all. But their investigation takes a shocking turn when another young woman is murdered. Wonderful a truly enjoyable author that is why I continue to buy her books I hope to read many more, of the same quality. In the years since the murders, several families have moved into the mansion where the crime occurred, each claiming that the dead girls still haunt the house.
Tightly plotted and deeply suspenseful, Superstition is Karen Robards’s most robadds work yet. It was a little too cheesy, and it didn’t clear up what happens with Vince and the two dirty cops. All in all, it was okay.
I enjoyed the story anyway and it kept my attention throughout. I’d probably robarrds that the character of Joe was what saved the book for me.
Karen went overboard with descriptions and details, and it made the book over-long for nothing. Feb 06, Mary Taitt rated it really liked it Recommends it for: I was half-expecting her idiocy to get her killed.
